Bluebell Dress

This dress was one of 6 that I created as bridesmaids' dresses for a fantasy wedding. Each bridesmaid represented a different flower. The bride designed the dresses, and I worked from her sketches. This skirt of this dress resembles a bluebell. I custom-dyed all of the silk dupioni that I used for this outfit, and airbrushed the edges of the “petals” of the skirt to give them more dimension. Each petal has a curved seam to mimic the flower it's modeled after, and is self-lined for a finished look. Under the petal pieces is a plain white silk skirt lining for modesty.

This skirt of this dress resembles a chrysanthemum. It is made of custom-dyed dupioni silk, and has many individual “petal” panels to mimic the flower it's modeled after. Under the petal pieces is a plain white silk skirt lining for modesty. In addition to custom-dyeing it, I also airbrushed the edges of the petals to give them more character.

    Celestial Bridal Gown

This bridal gown was created for a fantasy wedding. The bride designed her own dress, and I worked from her sketches to make it. I custom dyed all of the dupioni silk that this dress required, except for the accent fabric used for the pockets and jacket sash. It is comprised of 6 pieces- 2 long skirts with ruffles on the bottom (the inner most one is white), one star-shaped ¾ length skirt with silver trim, a white peasant-styled blouse, a steel-boned corset, and a tailed jacket. She wanted it in separate pieces so that she could mix-and-match them later for different events. The entire ensemble is decorated with various colors of Swarovski rhinestones and beads. The jacket has star-shaped pockets, epaulettes, and a large decorative bow in the back. The button holes on the jacket are surrounded by a appliques of comet tails, which are finished when the jacket is closed by the star-shaped buttons down the front. This dress required 55 yards of fabric!

    Velvet Groom Ensemble

This outfit is the groom's ensemble for a fantasy wedding. The bride designed her husband's costume, and I used her sketches to create it. This outfit has three pieces- a pair of silk dupioni breeches, a silk Renaissance-styled shirt, and a fully-lined cotton velvet doublet with sleeves. The groom chose the trim on his outfit. I custom-dyed all of the fabrics required for this costume.

    Empire Dress

I made this dress for a customer attending a fancy costumed event. She requested the style, and sent several reference pictures of her ideas, and I designed it based on that. It's made of iridescent polyester taffeta, with an iridescent polyester organza skirt overlay, and organza sleeves. I used a bronze colored trim around the under bust to give it an extra layer of detail.

    Piper Jacket

I made this jacket for a gentleman who was attending a wedding in a formal kilt. He wanted a cross between a Prince Charles jacket, and a piper doublet. He provided some sketches of his design, and I worked from there. This jacket is made of wool suiting, and has duchess satin accents. It is fully lined. The front panels are interlined with hair canvas, and padded as a suit jacket would be.
